About this remedy

Aloe vera gel contains acemannan and other polysaccharides that accelerate wound healing. A systematic review of 18 studies confirmed aloe vera significantly reduces burn healing time compared to conventional treatments. It also provides cooling anti-inflammatory relief for sunburns and minor skin irritations.

Preparation

Cut a fresh aloe leaf and scoop out the clear gel. Apply directly to the affected area, or blend for a smoother consistency. Commercial 100% aloe vera gel also works.
