About this remedy
A systematic review and meta-analysis found ginger supplementation significantly reduces total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL levels while potentially raising HDL. Ginger's gingerols and shogaols also have antiplatelet activity and improve circulation. Combined with garlic, the cardiovascular benefits are amplified.
Preparation
Grate 2 inches of fresh ginger and simmer in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes. Strain, add lemon and honey. Can also add to daily cooking.

2–3 cups of ginger tea daily, or 1–2 grams of ginger powder
Cautions
May interact with blood thinners and diabetes medications. Limit to 4 g per day. Consult doctor if on cardiovascular medications.
