Smoker's Detox Shot
Fiery morning shot to clear lungs and boost circulation

About this remedy
This punchy morning shot combines three potent circulatory and respiratory herbs. Cayenne desensitises the lung receptors targeted by tobacco smoke while dramatically boosting peripheral blood flow. Ginger thins mucus and supports detoxification. Lemon adds vitamin C — crucial because smokers are typically severely depleted in this nutrient. Together they kick-start recovery from the very first morning after quitting.
Preparation
Juice or grate 1 inch fresh ginger root. Combine with the juice of 1 lemon and 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper powder. Top with 2 oz warm water. Stir well and drink immediately (do not dilute more).
Dosage
1 shot first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Start with less cayenne (a pinch) and build up. Use daily for 4-8 weeks post-quitting.
Cautions
Too intense for those with acid reflux, ulcers, or IBS — dilute or skip cayenne. May interact with blood thinners and blood pressure medications. Drink through a straw if concerned about tooth enamel.
