About this remedy
Green tea catechins, particularly EGCG, have been extensively studied for prostate health. A large meta-analysis found that green tea consumption was associated with reduced risk of prostate issues. EGCG inhibits 5-alpha reductase and modulates androgen receptor signaling in prostate tissue.
Preparation
Brew 2 tsp high-quality green tea in 175°F water for 3 minutes. Add turmeric and a pinch of black pepper for synergistic anti-inflammatory benefits. Drink without milk, as casein can bind catechins.
Dosage
3-4 cups green tea daily, or 400 mg EGCG supplement. Consistency over months is important.
Cautions
Contains caffeine. High-dose EGCG supplements may cause liver issues — prefer tea over supplements. May interact with blood thinners, beta-blockers, and some chemotherapy drugs.
